The obverse depicts a profile bust of Lincoln and reads “Abraham Lincoln 16. President of the United States Assassinated by the Plotters of Treason Apr. 12, 1865”. The reverse reads “Martyr for Freedom”. token measures 20mm and appears to be made of brass. Struck by Lewis Joy, New York. Nice example of a scarce token.
