Abraham Lincoln Mourning Broadside "Ours the Cross - His the Crown - Wonderfully Impressive Colorful President Abraham Lincoln Memorial Broadside Circa 1865, with vivid color. Scene depicts an obelisk to President Lincoln with a figure of a man in a top hat, his grieving face covered, is at left; at right, a soldier leans on his sword while Lady Liberty in a dress of blue and red with long flowing hair crowned by a diadem, covers her face in mourning, weeping at the loss of the President. An American flag covers the top of the obelisk while a wreath surrounds Lincoln's name and rests over the inscription: "Born Feby. 12th 1809 / Ours the Cross / His the Crown / Assassinated April 14, 1865." Additionally, broken shackles are noticeable near the base of the obelisk. Published by H. H. Lloyd & Co., 21 John Street, New York. Housed in an archival frame and mounting, measures approximately 21 3/8" x 26". An outstanding broadside!
