Civil War Soldier Pipe / SOLD

Wonderful hand-carved wooden figural pipe depicting a goateed Civil War soldier wearing a kepi, which is hinged and serves as a cover for the bowl.  The stem is constructed of a tree branch with the bark still attached and fits loosely into the bowl. The mouthpiece is carved horn. The overall length is 9”. A fantastic example!

Comes housed in a 8 x 12 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
