Sheffield Handled Bowie Knife With Sheath - Inventory Number: EDG 001 / SOLD

Beautiful Civil War Manson Sheffield clip-point bowie with nickel silver mounts with original sheath.  Knife measures 11 1/4 inches in overall length with a clip-point blade that measures just over 6 1/2 inches long.  The wonderfully sculpted nickel silver handle is in excellent condition with a nice patina.  The blade shows minimal signs of ware. The maker's name is clearly stamped and visible.  Marked, "MANSON SHEFFIELD".    The original sheath is in good condition as well, and marked, "I-XL".  A very fine Civil War bowie that is overall in very impressive condition.
