Enlisted on 5/20/1861 at Antrim, NH as a 1st Sergt. On 6/5/1861, he mustered into “G” Co. New Hampshire 2nd Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 6/21/1864. On 9/13/1864, he mustered into “A” Co. New Hampshire 18th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 6/10/1865 He was listed as: Wounded 8/29/1862 2nd Bull Run, VA Wounded 7/2/1863 Gettysburg, PA (severely) Promotions: 2nd Lieut 1/1/1862. 1st Lieut 8/1/1862. Capt 7/3/1863 (As of Co. F) Intra-regimental company transfers – 7/3/1863 From company G, 2nd Inf to company G. Died 10/8/1890 in Colusa County, CA.
