Silver Pocket Watch with Civil War Engraving – Inventory Number: PER 350 / SOLD Silver key-wind pocket watch manufactured by M.J. Tobias of Liverpool. The front cover of the watch features a stunning engraving of a mounted officer brandishing a sword and dressed in a frock coat, epaulettes, and kepi. A cannon tube and battle smoke in the background paint a dramatic scene. The back cover depicts a nautical scene with a steam frigate cruising offshore from a castle. The front case opens to reveal the porcelain dial which retains the hour hand. The minute hand, second hand, and glass are missing. The movement is no longer functional.
