Confederate Spear-Point Knife

 

A large, crude spear-point knife measuring 16 inches overall with a 12-inch blade. The blade is roughly finished and shows casting flaws, traits often associated with Confederate wartime manufacture under severe material shortages. It retains slab grips secured by three primitive copper rivets, underscoring its utilitarian, field-made character. A compelling example of improvised Southern edged weaponry from the Civil War period.
