Description

Agate Brooch – Inventory Number: PER 113 / Sold This is a Civil War era brown banded agate brooch set into a lovely heavily gold-plated ornate mount.  A good-sized piece, the brooch measures nearly 1 3/4″ in width and 2″ in height.  The agate is lovely chocolate brown and is beautifully translucent.  With period correct tube hinge and “c”  clasp closure.  Good condition with one hairline flaw on the left center.  Gold mount with scroll flourishes.   Inventory Number: PER 113 / Sold
