Artillery Shell Fragments from the Battle of Fredericksburg

 

This display was formerly part of the MOLLUS museum collection inventory 86.15.26.  The Civil War Library Museum in Philadelphia. Painted museum inventory “1113” on the face of the iron.  The original calligraphy display card is present and reads: “Shell Fragments found on the Fredericksburg Battlefield 1113”.  Neat grouping of fragments that would have been viewed by the Veterans themselves.
