Rare Commissary Department Epaulettes

 

Cased Captain of Commissary Department Epaulettes.  Excellent condition gold bullion shoulder devices, with original “C.D.” emblems of high quality silver and gold bullion, eagle buttons, and Captains bars.  Triple layer bullion tassels, all present, with intact connector wire.  The under-straps embossed with “Left” and “Right”, with crown-marked clasps, with red leather uppers and velvet unders.  Housed in their original velvet lined tin case, which retains most of its original jappened finish.  Cased dated 1854.  An excellent display piece and a very rare find indeed!
