Civil War ID Disk, Alvin C. Bean, 15th New Hampshire Infantry – Inventory Number: IDE 154 / SOLD Brass identification disk with patriotic eagle motif and “WAR OF 1861/UNITED STATES” on the obverse, a popular style purchased by Civil War soldiers from sutlers. The reverse is stamped “LIEUT. A. C. BEAN Co.C 15th REG. N.H.V. ENFIELD.” Alvin C. Bean enlisted in the 9-month 15th New Hampshire Infantry in September 1862 and was heavily engaged with the regiment during the siege of Port Hudson, Louisiana. A classic Civil War ID disk with sharp details.  Alvin C. Bean – Residence Enfield NH; 27 years old. Enlisted on 9/13/1862 as a 2nd Lieutenant. On 11/3/1862 he was commissioned into “C” Co. NH 15th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 8/13/1863 at Concord, NH. Other Information: Born in Kirby, VT. Died 10/17/1892 in Royalton, VT.
