Civil War Infantry Hunting Horn Insignia

Stamped brass construction with strong gold finish intact.  The reverse retains both original brass wire attachment loops, secured exactly as wartime examples should be with lead solder.

These brass hunting horn devices were worn by all infantryman, serving as one of the iconic branch insignia of the Civil War period.

These have become recently more difficult to locate, particularly in this condition. A strong display specimen.
