Civil War U.S. Enlistedman’s Belt Plate 

Fine original Civil War U.S. enlistedman’s belt plate of the distinctive “arrowhead” pattern. This plate features the large raised “US” device arranged vertically within its elongated oval brass face, giving the plate its immediately recognizable appearance. 

The reverse retains the standard arrowhead-pattern attachment system, consisting of the two characteristic arrowhead-shaped studs and single belt tongue. The back retains its original lead fill, with the attachment hardware firmly embedded in place. The face exhibits an attractive, naturally aged brass patina with scattered surface wear entirely consistent with wartime use.
