Confederate Bayonet Adapter

 

Battle of Gettysburg   Once part of a large collection of Gettysburg Battle relics, this bayonet adapter enabled rifles such as the Model 1817 and Model 1841, as well as Southern-made military rifles, to be mounted with bayonets even to militarize civilian guns.  Manufactured by Boyle Gamble and McFee, this one bears the serial number “60”.
