Excavated U.S. Cavalry Carbine Sling

 

Carbine sling buckle, which fastened the leather sling that carried the trooper’s carbine was excavated from Confederate camp. This is a nice example and the hooks still swing freely.

 

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with velvet backing and descriptive card.
