Printed in Washington by the Government Printing Office in 1863. 4 ¾” by 7 ¼” and 88 pages in paperback. Intended to be distributed to regiments in the field, the manual details the various duties expected by soldiers in camp and on patrol, as well as in battles and sieges. A wealth of information with various illustrations and diagrams. The manual is in good condition with a solid binding. A must have for a collection of Civil War military manuals. Ink inscription on the cover reads E.Z. Steven’s.

Comes housed in 8 x 12 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
