    Detroit GAR Reunion Medal 1914 - Top bar has image of Antoine de la Mothe Cadilac, crossing le détroit ("the straits")—the waterway between Lakes St. Clair and Erie, which would become the present-day Detroit. This is dated, "JULY 24, 1701." below this "DETROIT" with "1914, AUG 31, SEPT 5".  A drop down medal is suspended below with the GAR coat of Arms.  Below this a  banner reading, "NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT." In excellent condition.
