Description

Patriotic Wallet – Inventory Number: PER 314 / Sold Wonderful tri-fold leather wallet with embossed eagles.  Maker marked and identified.  This example retains its original long closure strap  and remains supple.  The exterior flap boasts a pair of spread winged American Eagles.  The interior flap is ink inscribed: “Property of H. Gallack – 1846”.  The lower portion of the wallet is “C. Pratt Maker Essex Con.”  A generally nice example of a Mexican War era wallet from a skilled Newe England craftsman.
