Civil War Field Glasses / SOLD

Description

Civil War Field Glasses – Inventory Number: CAM 394 / SOLD Pair of Civil War field glasses with leather covered bodies.  In the open position, they measure approximately 4” x 4” x 2 ½”. They are unmarked, which allowed the retailer to sell them without advertising for the actual maker.  Classic Civil War era construction of the body.  Made with the straight bar holding the 2 sides together. The later production binoculars have the curved joint to allow for a person’s nose for a better fit. The optics on these are a little dirty but still work great. The mechanics that raise and lower the eyepieces function and the action is a smooth. Overall, they are in genuinely nice condition, only showing normal use – if desired they could be cleaned up a little. Inventory Number: CAM 394 / SOLD
