CS Staff Vest Button – Inventory Number: CON 174 / SOLD  Two-piece convex button, coat size. High relief motif, eagle on a pedestal facing right, surrounded by 11 stars. This is the earliest version of the blockade run button. BM: “RIVET’D & SOLDER’D” , with a lion and unicorn coat of arms; dm. English manufacture, possibly by Prussian producer Schnitzler & Kirshbaum. Shank present. Bright gilt patina. Good condition. Albert’s CS5, Tice’s CS205A6.   Inventory Number: CON 174 / SOLD
