Adolphus Wesley Williams
Adolphus Wesley Williams was born in Rochester, New York on May 11, 1830 and enlisted as a Major on April 25, 1861; the following month he was commissioned into Field and Staff Michigan 2nd Infantry. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on March 6, 1862, Colonel on July 26, 1862 and Brigadier General on March 13, 1865 by brevet. He died on March 11, 1879 in LaCanada, Los Angeles County, California.
