Description

Battlefield Pick-Up Cavalry Bit – Inventory Number: CAV 047 / Sold Wonderful bit from Brandy Station, Virginia.  Site of the Civil War’s largest cavalry battle.  This bit is an early battlefield pick-up.  This is a “true” M1859, shown by the long, sleek, flowing cheek pieces, compared to the M1863, which were shorter, and thicker.  Lacking the U.S. bridle bosses and curb.  Lip bar was removed by the cavalry trooper.  Cool relic.   Inventory Number: CAV 047 / Sold
