On 10/18/1861 he was commissioned into “D” Co. NY 104th Infantry. He was discharged on 1/3/1862. On 8/19/1862 enlisted at Albany, NY as a Adjutant. On 8/21/1862 he was commissioned into Field and Staff NY 136th Infantry and was mustered out on 6/13/1865 at Washington, DC.
