Centre of Gravity – Inventory Number: CDV 372 / SOLD Image of two young women titled Centre of Gravity.   These CDV’s were sold by sutlers to Civil War soldiers. A sutler usually built stores close to army encampments and sold provisions and supplies. To avoid any problems with the Christian Commission or the Sanitary Commission, they would claim they were “art” and nothing pornographic. Inventory Number: CDV 372 / SOLD
