Civil War 10-Pounder Field Artillery Sight 

Original Civil War period field artillery sight manufactured for use with a 10-pounder cannon, plainly stamped “10 Pdr.” on the body. Constructed of machined steel with a broad rectangular sighting blade, rounded lower shoulder, cylindrical base, and heavy threaded mounting stud. 

The sight retains an attractive untouched surface with scattered oxidation, staining, and evidence of actual service use. The crisp “10 Pdr.” designation is particularly desirable and comparatively few original examples survive today. 

A scarce and immediately recognizable piece of Civil War field artillery equipment, displaying exceptionally well and offering a direct connection to the operation and aiming of a 10-pounder field piece.
