Clipped Corner Belt Plate 

 

This example is widely seen in period photos of early war Confederate troops. This fine, excavated example retains a nice plum patina.  The back of the plate no longer retains the tongue and belt loop. Neat example!  From the Dick Hammond collection . Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
