Confederate Infantry ‘Script I” Button
Excavated Confederate 22mm Infantry button of two-piece construction with an English script “I” on the face. This style is listed as CSI215 in Tice’s button book. The back still retains the shank and the backmark of S. Isaac Campbell & Company of London, which was one of the largest suppliers of arms and equipment to the Confederacy. The button has a pleasing and smooth gray/green patina. A classic Confederate button run through the Blockade from England.
Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
