Connecticut Button from Coco Collection Recovered from Cordori Field – Inventory Number: GET 500 / SOLD Connecticut Button Recovered from Cordori Field Gettysburg from the Gregory Coco Collection with handwritten documentation of location by Coco.   The late Coco was a park ranger at Gettysburg deeply interested in the battle and what was left in its wake. The Vietnam veteran wrote eloquently and often about the carnage of war, its terrors and pain, its irreplaceable cost in human life and treasure, and the toll it took on the families who lost sons and husbands there.   Connecticut button, state seal grape vines transplanted, Scovill Mfg Waterbury. Button depicts state seal of Connecticut, grape vines with Latin inscription, “He who transplanted continues to sustain”, intended for troops of Connecticut units. Backmark: “SCOVILL MF’G CO./ WATERBURY.  Two part convex button, coat size. Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card. Inventory Number: GET 500 / SOLD
