Currier & Ives Battle of Chancellorsville Lithograph – Inventory Number: PRI 169 / SOLD Fanciful wartime lithograph of the Battle of Chancellorsville by Currier & Ives, in a vintage frame measuring 15” by 11”. The battle against Joseph Hooker’s Army of the Potomac in the dense thickets surrounding Chancellorsville is considered Gen. Robert E. Lee’s greatest military victory.  It was the last battle for Confederate Lt. Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson, who was mortally wounded there by friendly fire. Over 30,000 men were casualties of the battle between April 30 and May 6, 1863. A colorful wartime lithograph in good condition.    Inventory Number: PRI 169 / SOLD
