Emerson & Silver Model 1860 Cavalry Saber, Dated 1864 – Inventory Number:  SWO 230 / SOLD Model 1860 cavalry saber bade by Emerson & Silver of Trenton, New Jersey, one of 19,020 produced by the company in 1864. The ricasso is marked on one side with light Emerson & Silver maker’s mark on one side, and “U.S. / C. E. W. / 1864” on the opposite. The blade is in great condition, nearly mirror bright with a couple small areas of light pitting and some nicks along the edge. The brass guard has some remnants of gold paint. The leather wrap is in good, strong condition with very light wear, complete with twisted brass wire wrap. The scabbard is in very good condition and has aged to a light grey patina. This is a very attractive Model 1860 in great condition.     Inventory Number:  SWO 230 / SOLD
