Gettysburg Bayonet – Inventory Number: GET 294 / SOLD Original Civil War .577 Caliber Enfield Socket Bayonet.  This is s a classic example for the Pattern 1853 Enfield rifle-musket.  This item was purchased by our gallery from the collection of David Adams, a local Gettysburg, PA resident.  The items contained in this collection were recovered from the Gettysburg Battlefield and retained in his collection until his recent death.  The bayonet was once part of the collection of Ed Miller also a resident of Gettysburg and was recovered from the area of Plum Run.  This example is a battlefield recovery and is pitted die to exposure tot he elements.   Inventory Number: GET 294 / SOLD
