Gettysburg Souvenir Green Glass Cup – Engraved “Gettysburg 1913”

A striking emerald, green pressed glass souvenir cup, elegantly wheel-engraved “Gettysburg 1913” in flowing script around the upper rim. The body features a beautifully molded shell and scroll pattern accented by a gilt band at the base, typical of fine commemorative glassware produced for Civil War veteran 50th reunion and battlefield visitors in the early 20th century.

The year 1913 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, when more than 50,000 Union and Confederate veterans returned to the field for the monumental Gettysburg Reunion, often called the “Peace Jubilee.” This historic gathering symbolized reconciliation between North and South, and souvenir pieces such as this were sold as lasting mementos of the occasion.
