Model 1851 Saber Belt

 

Leather model 1851 saber belt worn by Federal enlisted cavalrymen (and occasionally officers) during Civil War. Complete with an original regulation 1851 pattern brass eagle belt plate with applied German silver wreath matching keeper with matching fit and patina. Complete with over-the-shoulder strap and both hangers. Matching numbers on keeper and belt plate. Nice early war example!
