Description

Mounted Rifleman’s Insignia 

 

Scarce elongated bugle device used by the Mounted Rifle Corps in the years before the Civil War and into the War’s early years.  The insignia retains nearly all its original gold gilt finish and is constructed of stamped brass with oxidized lead solder affixing a pair of brass wires to attach to headgear.
