Description

Original Civil War Card Game

 

This was found in Massachusetts and consists of 50 handmade 2 ½ x 3 ½ cards.  25 with blue boarders for Union Generals, etc. and 25 with gray boarders for Confederate Generals, etc.  Included are Washington and Richmond, the capitals of the US and CS governments.  Each card was meticulously ruled and painted.  Some of the paint has smeared slightly, but all cards are clear and readable, and none are torn or creased.  This is a unique Civil War item, lovingly made as an educational toy in the 1860’s. Comes housed in 12 inch x 16 inch riker display case with descriptive card.
