Patriotic Civil War Glass Tumbler – Inventory Number: BOT 109 / Sold Civil War Period Shot Glass with the pro-Union mottos: “Union Forever” and “Bumper to the Flag” slogans. Liberty poles and caps separate the clasped hands and flag & shield design motifs. This rare Civil War-era and was probably manufactured by Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. of Wheeling, Virginia (before West Virginia became a state) sometime between 1860 – 1865.  Constructed of heavyweight flint glass is 3″ tall and 2.75″ in diameter at the lip and is in excellent condition with no flaws or chips.   Wonderful addition to any collection or to drink a spirit on special occasions.
