Jan 23 1864. Levander Sawtelle Residence Starks, ME; 23 years old. Enlisted on 8/26/1862 as a Priv. On 8/26/1862, he mustered into “A” Co. Maine 19th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 5/31/1865. He was listed as: Wounded 5/24/1864 North Anna River, VA. Promotions: Corpl (1864). Sergt (1864). Died 7/21/1867. Buried: Tupper-Williamson Cemetery, River Road, Starks, ME.
