Silver Patriotic Snuff Box – Sold Outstanding silver snuff box depicting a pair of engraved American eagles.  Measures approximately 3 1/4″ x 1 7/8″ x 5/8″ deep.   Throughout the Civil War snuff production boomed.  It was even recommended by doctors as a general cure-all, particularly effective in the treatment of coughs, colds, and headaches.  Many soldiers carried snuff in their haversacks.  Inventory Number: CAM 207 / Sold
