Vermont Cadet Button, Norwich University, two part, Fine Quality.  Button depicts eagle with shield, “Cadet” and “N.U” intended for cadets of Norwich University, Norwich Vermont.   This school was established in 1819 as the first northern cadet school to be formed after West Point.   Backmark:    FINE (star) QUALITY (star) (star) ” dm.   Two part convex button,   “cadet” cuff size.   Nondug button, gilded, stand up shank intact.
