1/4 Plate Tintype of Two Union Musicians with Hardee Hats - Inventory Number: HAR 213
Seated 1/4th plate tintype of two Union infantrymen wearing four-button sack coats. Model 1858 “Hardee” dress hats with blue tinted hat chords and gold tinted hat pins and infantry horn devices are displayed on the soldiers’ laps. At the bottom right of the image is a classic eagle painted drum with partially legible regimental markings. Very good subject matter although the image is slightly dark. The tintype is framed in copper and housed in a full leatherette case.
