Standing ambrotype of a southern militia soldier in full dress garb. He wears a forage cap, and his well-tailored frock coat is festooned with three rows of buttons and frill epaulettes on the shoulders. The image is framed in copper and housed in a full wooden case that is separated at the hinge. A nice pre or early Civil War southern image.
