2nd Infantry Regiment Company “I” Sixth Plate Tintype

Full standing view of a Union private wearing a hat with an infantry hunting horn device with company “I” within the device and the numeral “2” beneath.  Soldier is also wearing his infantry accoutrements including the Springfield rifle-musket with tampion in the musket, bayonet scabbard and cartridge box.  Housed in full gutta-percha case with brass mat, case has edge damage.  Interior of left side of the case is line with purple embossed velvet.
