"Classic Civil War Cartridge Box"
Model 1855 US cartridge box in very good condition. The original "US" cartridge box plate is affixed via leather on the underside of the outer flap. Latch-tab is in solid condition. The inner flap is in nice shape and has both ears. Boldly stamped at bottom center of the flap is "WATERTOWN ARSENAL 1864." Interior has both of the original tins and a implement pocket in good shape. The bottom of the box retains both roller buckles and round brass finial. Reverse is in good condition with both belt and sling loops is solid condition. Great example for any Civil War collection.
