6th Connecticut Reunion Ribbons - Inventory Number: VET 277 / SOLD

Pair of veteran ribbons from the 6th Connecticut Infantry. The 6th Connecticut was a hard fighting unit of the 10th Corps that followed directly behind the 54th Massachusetts in the assault of Fort Wagner, where it suffered heavy casualties. The regiment went on to fight at Drewry’s Bluff, Deep Bottom, Petersburg, Chaffin’s Farm, Darbytown Road, and Fort Fisher. The blue silk ribbon measures 4 ½” and has a red paper cutout 10th Corps badge and paper letters. The second ribbon is white silk printed with blue ink and measures 6” with the Hartford reunion date of September 17, 1879. A nice pair of reunion ribbons from a hard-fought Civil War unit.
