Artillery Gunners Pouch - Inventory Number: LEA 219 / Sold

This is an attractive original leather gunner's pouch for the Civil War artillery.  The inner and outer flaps are both intact as well as the brass finial on the bottom of the box.  The closure tab is present with the tip lacking a small section.  The interior is bodly marked "Allegheny Arsenal - 1864".  The reverse side of the box has both of the original leather loops where the belt would have went through.  The leather has a great color, with it being the untouched chestnut brown color.  Scarce box in very nice condition!
