Artilleryman - Inventory Number: HAR 164 / SOLD

Beautiful1/6th palte tintype of a Union artillerist.  Crisp waist-up view, wearing a forage cap and artillery shell jacket with red tinted piping.  AT his waist is a clear view of the model 1840 artillery saber.  Housed in its original leatherette case with embossed pillow bearing the photographers imprint: "Wm Snell - Artist - Salem".  Spine of case is separated otherwise fine.  Wonderful example of the classic Union artilleryman!
