Awesome Example of a Civil War Toy Drum - Inventory Number: MUS 179 / SOLD
The construction is identical to its full-sized counterparts. The sheepskin heads and red painted rims are in very good condition. They exhibit the classic wartime method of drilled through holes for the original rope. These drums are widely documented in patriotic images of children both boys and girls during the wartime. The bonus is this is the first example we have offered which retained the original sticks for the past 160+ years. A great display for any collection.
