    Battle of Gettysburg Cyclorama Program - Inventory Number: GET 380

    Scarce paperback program for the Cyclorama of the Battle of Gettysburg, painted by French artist Paul Philippoteaux. The painting is 42 feet high and 377 feet in circumference and depicts the “High Water Mark of the Confederacy” at Pickett’s Charge.  Several copies of the enormous painting were commissioned, and the version that was exhibited in Boston from 1884 to 1892 is currently on display at the Gettysburg National Military Park visitor center. The program measures 9 ¼” by 6” and contains a foldout guide to the cyclorama painting, as well as various maps, accounts of the battle, and advertisements. In overall good condition with some wear and loss to the blue cover. A scarce, complete example.
