Camp Carvings - Inventory Number: SCU 074
Wonderful pair of bone items carved in camp and prisons in the war. Contained in an original wartime pasteboard box with textured surface. The box has a faint pencil inscription on the lid which would require further scrutiny to determine history. A terrific example of a soldier’s keepsake carved of soupbone fashioned into a ring with. The second item is a five-pointed star, likely 12/20th corps associated with blue wax fill. Neat addition to any Civil War soldiers, home front or prison exhibit.
