Cavalry Belt with Plate / Sold

Genuinely nice example of the 1851 eagle sword belt plate with applied three-piece silver wreath.  This example is affixed to its original supple leather belt with brass hardware.  There is an old repair in the back of the belt and the owner’s initials are incised in the interior of the belt: “Mphy”.
